Finding employment in Argentina from your home country is extremely hard if you
are an English teacher.
Business oriented jobs are easier to secure from abroad,
but are far scarcer. The majority of English teachers in Argentina start working
illegally on a tourist visa. Once employed and if your boss is willing to do so,
a work visa can be attained.
To enter Argentina most citizens from English-speaking countries don’t require a
visa. Citizens of the US, EU, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa can
stay in Argentina for up to 90 days visa free. A visa run
to a neighbouring country
can extend this period for another 90 days and can be done so repeatedly.
Health insurance isn’t a necessity as the public hospitals are free, but you will need
to wait before being helped. Taking out private health insurance will allow
you to avoid waiting in queues.
